Why choose swimming as a sport for my child?

Swimming offers lifelong fitness and enjoyment. It’s low-impact yet highly beneficial, enhancing cardiovascular fitness, flexibility, muscular development, and coordination. Competitive swimming is also known for fostering discipline, strong academic performance, and positive peer relationships.

At KBM, we prioritize individualized coaching, small swimmer-to-lane ratios, and personal development. We cultivate a positive mental attitude, build high self-esteem, and consistently prepare swimmers for regional, provincial, and national competitions.

If your child can swim 25 metres front crawl with proper breathing, 25 metres backstroke, and can continuously kick on a flutterboard, they’re ready! We offer a free assessment to determine the best group for your swimmer.

You can register your swimmer by first scheduling a free assessment. Once assessed, you’ll be guided through the registration process, including payment and membership details.

KBM offers various swim programs ranging from beginner (Mini Marlins) to high-performance competitive levels (Senior Performance). Each program is tailored to swimmers’ skills, experience, and age. You can learn more about our different programs here.

Yes, new swimmers can attend a trial or assessment session to determine their appropriate program level and experience KBM’s coaching style and team environment.

No, early morning practices are typically for swimmers aged 13 and older, with frequency gradually increasing. Younger swimmers have practices at more family-friendly times.
